The Russian Revolution of 1917, for the first time in history an entire nation is governed by a communist system. The posters from the Soviet Union government show revolutionary zeal and optimism of building a new society. Poster campaigns are waged to instill patriotism, ideologies, inspire superiorism, eliminate illiteracy and improve health care. Other posters attack the opponents of Lenin's government: a bloody civil war swept the country until 1920. Progressive artists used the poster as a medium to reach a broad public along the way creating some of the greatest masterpieces the world has ever seen today...
The collection saw the Soviet History through different revolution specifically the years 1914, 1917 (Afisha, Kultura, Reclama, Social), 1921 (Revolut), 1939, 1942, 1953. 1961 (Hruxev), 1985 (Actual, Kosmos, Mir) up to 1991.
